Introducing Microsoft Small Basic

Posted by TnTonly On November - 7 - 2010

Feel like coding with Pascal language? You want to begin studying with Pascal? Just want to code?

Nay, forget Pascal already. Since now, we have Small Basic, a Basic language IDE for children, and for dummy too.

This is a small IDE with Basic-lite language with less than 15 keywords, developed by Microsoft for a year. But as powerful as Microsoft Visual Studio with Intellisense and Active Help! Sure like hell a kid can code! If you want to learn programming, Small Basic is your choice. And you know what? Small Basic has an absolutely beautiful GUI, and you gonna love it. Oh, I wish Microsoft Visual Studio has that interface…

Just download here:
http://download.microsoft.com/download/C/A/F/CAF9E062-94D3-4003-80D9-44CDF7EC7BD9/SmallBasic.msi
You might need .NET Framework. If so, download here
http://download.microsoft.com/download/0/6/1/061f001c-8752-4600-a198-53214c69b51f/dotnetfx35setup.exe

Install it and you’ll have an IDE and an ebook to start right away. Wish I have a child to teach him how to code :)

P/S: Sure like hell it looks like a toy more than an IDE ^^

Video Today

After the long wait, my Google Nexus 7 has finally arrived! Having seen so many “fail” unboxing videos before, I took extra precaution while unboxing the tablet. Fortunately the unboxing processed smoothly.

It is certainly worth the wait. My first impression of the Google Nexus 7 is that it is a superb build quality, amazing performance, nice screen and incredible Jelly Bean. All that for only £159. I will use this for a while and will create a review later, but for now I’m totally satisfy with it.
